SYMBIOTICA

The goal of this hybrid building is to offer symbiotic harmony between the library and art gallery. A key concept to the success of balance is to create a visual connectivity between the spacial separation. The functions face one another, interacting without truly crossing or disturbing one another through transparency. This development will be a precedent for future developments in Las Vegas, by allocating a generous amount of space for a desert garden on the street level, instead of pushing the buildings right up against the sidewalk. The project is comprised of seven floors imperative to the seven contemporary fine art disciplines: painting, sculpture, architecture, poetry, music, literature and dance; where they all meet and come into harmony with one another. The top floor is a key component to the design where the two separate entities merge into one.
