CATALYST

Taking a butterfly as an engine and catalyst, the quest was to analyze its physical qualities and transfigure its spatial dynamics into creative architecture while advancing our personal craft as second year students.

The first step in the abstraction process was to introduce complexity through the scaffolding of wooden dowels. I assembled a model that inhabits the movement, flows, and mechanisms behind the precedent.

The final step of the imaginative process was to create a physical model using foam board showing the habitable space while extracting the physical and spatial qualities.
